Wedding FAQs

Do you have parking

Yes! On street parking is available 24 hours, free of charge on all of the surrounding streets. We also provide secure, off street parking, subject to availability.

Where's the nearest public transport?
Can I have my wedding ceremony here?

Of course! You can choose to have your ceremony in the main Engine Room, Mezzanine or even in the gardens.

Do you have a good place for photos?

Yes! The interior of the Engine Works creates an incredible post industrial backdrop for you photos. From there you can move to the gardens and then on to the stunning canal with lush green land and the serene canal walkways.

How many day and evening guests can I have?

It’s up to you! We can cater from anything from 2-250. It’s your wedding and we’ll work with you on all sizes and shaped of weddings!

Do you provide Catering?

Yes. We can provide catering via one of our partner caterers. We have menu options and styles to suit your budget and theme. If you wish to provide your own catering, we will happily discuss the options here also.

Can we bring our own caterers?

Yes. We only ask they are recognised caterers and we can meet with them first to discuss the logistics and operations necessary to run a function at The Engine Works

What are your access times?

8am ’till late, seven days. We can always make allowances for extraordinary requests, just speak to the team to help!

What time would our function have to finish?

We’re licenced until 1am, but don’t let the party stop there. We can arrange transport and bar/club access into Glasgow City Centre or West End upon request

Do you have secure storage?

Yes we can store valuables and gifts for a function, and access to all offices is securely locked and manned during open hours.

Can I set up the day before?

Depending on the date and function, yes it’s an option. Just let us know before what access you require and We’ll do our best to accommodate.

Where are the nearest hotels?
Do you have a supplier list?

Yes. For (Literally!) everything. Speak to our event planner to get the contacts you need!

Can I hire the space for half a day?

Yes of course. The Engine Works is Your Space, Your vision!

Do you have an event planner?

Yes. Our dedicated events team are on hand seven days with a wealth of experience to support your event, no matter how big or small!

Is there disabled access?

Yes, to the ground floor only for now. As a listed building unfortunately we cannot install access to the higher floors at this stage.

Can I brand the space entirely?

Its Your Space, Your Vision

Do you have sound and lighting options?

Yes. And we work with the best in the business to make sure your event is perfect in every way!

Is my event going to be exclusive?

Yes. When you hire The Engine Works, it’s yours. You’ll have exclusive use to The Engine Room, Bar, gardens and Mezzanine throughout your event.

How and when can I access the offices?

Access to the office if via a secured entry on Lochburn Road. You’ll be able to access this from 8am – 8pm seven days, but you can always stay late upon request.

Can I get into my office at the weekends?

Yes. We’ll be open seven days!

Do you have a reception?

Yes. Our reception desk can act as a welcome to your visitors and a relaxed waiting area

Do you have a space I an hold meetings?

Yes. We have a great space, fully equipped with all the necessary AV requirements. This room can be booked in house. For more details on the office spaces. Click (here)
